Set in 1978 Kansas City, The Voucher follows Benny Blocks through a city built on power, loyalty, gambling, money, prostitution, narcotics, and the dangerous traffic moving west. Back then, Kansas City was more than a stop on the map... it was the muscle, the gate to the West.

 

Nothing headed toward Vegas, California, or the coast moved clean without passing through KC first. Less law, less eyes, and two cities wearing the same name made it the kind of place the mob understood too well.

But Kansas City has two sides: Kansas and Missouri. Same name, different rules divided by a river, a bridge, and what happens once that bridge is crossed.
